History of Stone Bridge Farm

Stone Bridge Farm is a small, family-owned, Rocky Mountain Horse farm established by Dan and Tamara Callstrom in 1997. The focus of Dan and Tamara’s breeding program is to produce family, trail horses with outstanding, smooth natural gaits and willing, friendly personalities. For 13 years they produced fantastic trail partners that can now be found across the United States and around the world.

Due to the growing demands of Dan and Tamara’s family and a change in the market they stopped their formal breeding program in 2010. Dan and Tamara’s Rocky Mountain stallion, Legacy, is still available for outside breedings and they will likely continue to have at least one foal a year… after so many years of wonderful foals, it’s hard to go without.

In 2010 Tamara began to pursue her interest in Equine Facilitated Experiential Learning. In 2011 she completed Linda Kohanov’s Apprenticeship Program with Epona Equestrian Services in Amado, Arizona. Tamara is now an Epona Approved Instructor and will be working in partnership with her herd of Rocky Mountain Horses to offer educational and expansive experiences through Equine Connection @ Stone Bridge Farm.
